Gallus: August to November 2013
The increasing cold seems to affect Gallus’ transmitter. As also happened last winter, the data transfer is currently not working correctly. Despite the lack of GPS localisations we have been, fortunately, compensated with wonderful direct observations. In September David Birri discovered Gallus in the Valais near the Fieschergletscher where he took these impressive images.
And just a day later Christian Rösti could watch Gallus in Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Oberland. Such observations are extremely valuable for us. We know, in spite of technology strikes , where "our" Bearded Vultures are underway.
